I recently wrote about Millennial Marketing and vinyl, outdoor stickers as an essential tool for this market. Promotional stickers are badges and signs of alignment with interests and values. Stickers represent status. Let’s look a bit closer at who should be distributing these badges and endorsements (stickers) and why:
Experiences are valued by Millennials over more “things”. So any businesses connected with travel, biking, winter sports, festivals, concerts, etc. should hand out or sell a sticker/badge allowing participants, visitors, fans to show-off and endorse their experience.
Causes – Millenials are driven by values and often buy based on an organizations mission and philanthropy. So non-profit organizations and the companies that support them and their missions should not be without stickers. Stickers strengthen ties and support for causes while also promoting the organization supplying the badge.
Community is important to any market. Towns, clubs, sports, bands, political candidates, and hopefully your company are all things that certain people want to belong to or be a part of. This should be encouraged and supported with a sticker or badge that represents their status in the group.
Brands can (and should) tap into all of the above segments. And, stickers are a powerful yet inexpensive way to strengthen and communicate a businesses identity. What you wear, where you dine, what you buy, and why you make these life choices can all be supported with custom vinyl stickers.
In closing, any business or organization should take advantage of promotional stickers. And, for any business that believes they have nothing they could communicate on a sticker perhaps it’s time to offer more of an experience, connect with an important cause, or strengthen (or create) more community.
