From the start of the shutdown of businesses around mid-March orders at Websticker have dipped about 35%. Not bad. We have our existing clients to thank for that. We count ourselves among the luckiest of businesses –money in the bank, supply chain still flowing, and no need to layoff or furlough any of our awesome employees (though a few are cooped up at home).
If your business is closed or struggling we send out positive vibes and hope you’ll be out of the corona-woods soon and see a quick recovery. In the mean time I thought I’d share what our customers are currently buying and doing with their time. Perhaps there’s an idea here for you or something to consider
Social Distancing Floor Stickers – Websticker was quick to design and produce some stock social distancing stickers. We distributed them free to many businesses in our community and they are available to anyone else. We anticipate that as businesses reopen they will need floor stickers to remind people to continue to keep their distance until we have a vaccine.
Roll Labels – At Websticker the bulk of our repeat orders right now have been roll labels. Labels are needed to mark food products and deliveries which have seen an uptick in sales during the pandemic.
Postcard Stickers – While using stickers as promotional handouts has ground to a halt in this time of no physical contact, postcard stickers are still a great way to put stickers (gifts, greetings and promo items) into peoples hands. Schools and colleges are specifically finding sticker postcards helpful in cost effectively communicating with students and prospects while also distributing an identity-building sticker/sign.
Webcam Covers – While custom webcam covers have always been a great gift and promotional tool for schools, security companies, and non-profits a new use has emerged during this health crisis. With the increase in on-line meetings has come embarrassing moments of participants not realizing their camera was on. The easiest way to be assured you can’t be seen by hackers (or coworkers) is to manually block cameras with a sticker. Businesses can get their name front and center on devices while also giving the gift of privacy.
New Sticker Product Ideas – Another great way we’re seeing some businesses use this down time in regard to stickers is to work on product development. Stickers can be a high profit retail product and excellent add on purchase. We are working with several individuals and businesses on sticker concepts and designs that can sell well into an established (or not yet established) market.
Stay safe! Hopefully our businesses will be back at full strength soon.
