Sticker postcards are one of our favorite and most economical marketing ideas for gifting stickers to your target audience. Almost everyday, we get questions on if we can print them, how many peel outs you can do, etc. We have a lot of information available about sticker postcards on our site, but we wanted to create one blog post that had all the information you need to know!
What are sticker postcards?
It’s a party on the front, and business on the back! You can put outdoor quality stickers on the front (multiple sticker peel outs, or a single peel out, whatever you choose) and a marketing message on the back.
Why should you use sticker postcards in your marketing campaign?
With postcards, there is nothing to open, so you are guaranteeing a 100% open rate. Impressions are being made regardless of interest or intent. There’s also a gift built right into your mailing, which makes it hard to ignore since you are attaching something of value for the recipient. If that’s not enough to convince you, run the numbers. With sticker postcards, you are delivering a higher value mailing, but you may even save money while doing it! First class postcards are only 44 cents to mail, which is 16 cents less than regular mail. And yes, bulk rate postage is available for those larger jobs for even more savings. Here’s more on how sticker postcards deliver amazing marketing value.
Are there any sticker design limitations?
The traditional sticker postcard is either screen printed using spot colors, or printed full color, digitally. You can choose to put either one large sticker on the front, or multiple. The best value is to put a few different sizes, so the recipient can have stickers for things like their car, as well as phones or helmets.
Die cut lines must be at least ¼” away from the edge of postcard and 1/8” away from other peel out die lines.
The back of the postcard is usually printed with a black ink that has been formulated specifically to adhere to the paper liner. Yes, for larger specialty jobs we are able to print full color if needed on the back.
Do you offer mailing services for postcard stickers?
Yes, we have a preferred partner that can handle all your mailing needs. We can also answer questions about what is possible with various sized postcards. Often, the post office may have clerks that interpret the DMM differently. We have even found that some mailing houses are not clear on what is possible and may try to talk you out of mailing with a bulk permit or suggesting putting the sticker sheet in an envelope. Please, have us review or put you in touch with our mailing house before making changes that can deplete the power of the mailing, lead to overpaying, or even have you second guess doing the sticker postcards at all.
How does sticker postcard pricing work?
Pricing is based on the overall size of the postcard and the number of colors printed. We recommend keeping the size under 4.25” x 6”, so it stays within minimum postage requirements. But, if you need a larger postcard it is certainly doable and still can be mailed with bulk postage. We often do postcards for colleges and schools that are oversized.
There can be a die fee for any postcards that will have custom shaped peel outs. We always recommend going the custom die route since it will make your stickers stand out! At higher quantities we also often can eliminate the die charges. Fill out our custom quote form to get pricing for your project.

Hello,
I’m looking for a notecard where one side contains a written notecard message and the other side has a sticker cutout. If you could let me know if this is possible and provide me with a quote that would be great.
Thank you,
Taylor
