At Websticker we love designing and printing custom stickers for bands! I recently read a blog post by SongCast called 10 Fun Ways to Use Stickers to Promote Your Band. It reminded me that bands, really more than any other business, need promotional stickers in so many essential ways. They can be sold as merch, they can tag equipment, they can be given out as gifts, tips, bonuses and freebies, they can be strategically placed/stuck to advertise, and most importantly they can build identity and introduce people to your website and music. And the cost of this powerful marketing medium? Pennies per piece (depending on quantity and design ordered) and a fraction of that per impression.
As a part time songwriter and band member I have a special place in my heart for this segment of the sticker business. Whether the bands are better known like They Might Be Giants, or more obscure like The Polkaholics, we love to print the stickers and we love to see the value the bands get from this sticky promotional tool.
