Custom Sticker Hang Tags are a great way to distribute waterproof custom stickers with every product you sell. I just bought a fleece shirt that had hanging stickers attached and it reminded me of a few key factors to remember when designing and attaching custom stickers to products.
1) Holey, Holey, Holey…
Make sure you have a tab or die cut that keeps the hole or hole punch off of the custom sticker hang tags design.
2) Don’t Forget the Sticker Backside!
Don’t forget to utilize sticker back printing for more info, coupons, QR codes, etc. Maximize the utility and print area of your sticker hang tags.
3) Peel & Stick
Don’t forget to indicate on your design or copy that the tag is a sticker! It’s amazing how many companies pay extra to print sticker hang tags and then don’t indicate to the customers that it is a free, vinyl custom sticker. It costs nothing extra to add a simple arrow and quick phrase on tab or perimeter of sticker design to indicate “peel and stick”, “stick it”, “Peel Here”, or even just “STICKER!”. The little arrow will help them notice where to peel up the sticker and encourage adding the sticker to a car, snowboard, notebook… anywhere. The stickers will never go anywhere or further promote your company if customers don’t realize the hang tag is a sticker in the first place.
4) Sticker Quality Matters
Remember this is a sticker that will reflect your brand and hopefully be placed somewhere that will promote your company for years to come. Don’t go with a cheap over laminated paper or a print method that will fade within a year. If you are a quality company with quality products your hanging stickers should also promote quality. Vinyl custom stickers are essential.
