Promo Stickers Should Be a Customer Thank You Gift

Kristen holds a t-shirts that suck custom promo stickers. Stickers can be a great customer thank you giftCustom Promo Stickers – You can mail them, include with products, hand them out, or leave them in a pile for people to grab. But, as with any promotional project there should be a basic plan of what you want to accomplish before you invest in custom stickers and start throwing them around. Here are some questions that will help get you started in the right direction and help make stickers a customer thank you gift.

• Do you consider the custom promo stickers a gift or bonus for fans, customers or the public? If not… don’t do it.

• As a customer thank you gift, is it a custom sticker & gift for them that they will care about, laugh about, or value in some way? Or, is it a gift for you – an advertisement you hope they’ll help spread? If it’s all about you… don’t do it.

• Is the sticker gift a short term bribe of sorts to get more envelopes opened, more people stopping by or to draw more attention to certain information? That’s fine. Go ahead and do it. You can spend less on printing and maybe just use basic paper labels. But, don’t falsely advertise it as something that will last or could be used for a purpose it’s not meant for (like a car or water bottle sticker). The durability of your stickers may reflect the durability of your brand.

• Is the sticker a badge or gift that you hope will be appreciated, valued and displayed where it can be seen by others? This is, to me, the maximum benefit of custom promotional stickers. If this is what you are after, there is much to do. This entire Sticky Business Blog and everything we work for at Websticker is about stronger marketing and making more impressions with well designed stickers. But remember, it starts with wanting to create a valued gift for clients, members, fans or prospects. What do they want?

I think there are very few businesses that would not benefit from having their logo on a sticker. It is one of those advertising efforts that is hard to tangibly quantify, but one you can assume works to generate interest in your logo, brand, etc. Ideally your sticker will interest people enough that they will feel compelled to look up your website.
