It always amazes me when I read a crowd funding pitch and the $1-$10 perk is something like, “our sincere gratitude”, or a “virtual high five”, or “the pleasure of supporting us”. Really? It really is so, so simple to offer something of value at the minimum pledge amounts. And, the simplest and best value option is custom stickers. Here’s 5 reasons why…
1) People love stickers!
2) Stickers have a perceived value but very low production costs.
3) Overruns of stickers can also be included with products… or used for other events and marketing efforts.
4) Promotional stickers are cheap and easy to mail – just the cost of an envelope and stamp (or, included with no extra cost in other packaging).
5) Stickers are a strong marketing piece that, if applied by recipient, encourages word-of-mouth marketing and promotes your product, brand or project basically for free.
If you want to encourage higher pledges and don’t have much interest in attracting the $1-$5 supporters, then just skip posting low pledge amounts completely and jump right up to the meat of what you are trying to fund. But, I would still recommend including custom promotional stickers at all other perk levels (for the above mentioned reasons).
Of course, promo stickers and effective crowd funding perks need to be properly designed and produced to really capitalize on perceived value and attain their full marketing potential. The experts at Websticker can help with that.
